Welding Process is the process by which two metals or alloys can be mated together using various techniques. MIG and TIG are two widely used welding processes. Each uses an inert (non-reactive) gas to enclose the weld to prevent contamination and increase the quality of the bond.
Welding Technique is the specific method used in the welding process to create the bond between two substrates (metals, etc). Spot welding is a technique that spreads individual weld "beads" to be set uniformly across the two pieces in order to allow the piece to cool down so as to reduce deformation due to thermal effects.
