What is the strongest metal or alloy?

I thought it was carbon steel but I also herd titanium or tungsten was strongest

epleted uranium is most often used for tanks its very dense so is good at stopping kinetic energy penetrators. Chobham armor fis used to stop high explosive anti-tank shells also carbon steel is the hardest metal. alloy 1090 is the hardest carbon steel aloy tungsten carbide is also very hard. however just being the hardest is not always best. for example carbon steel is highly corrosive. well hope that helped
